The Largest Island in the World

Greenland is known as the largest island in the world, with area of 2,166,086 km2. It is located northeast of Canada and northwest of Iceland. Total population in 2012 is  56.840, with ethnic groups comprises of 88% (Inuit and Inuit-Danishmixed), and 12% Europeans, mostly Danish. Greenland is include in Kingdom of Denmark, with the biggest city is Nuuk. 
Greenland as geographically is section of north america. 80% of the area is covered by ice with thickness in some area reach 3 km. Only west coast and south coast that possible for human residence. The climate is arctic to subarctic, with cool summers and cold winters. 
Economy of greenland is depend of nautical, sheep farming, and mining.
