The Largest Desert on the World

The largest desert on the world except antartica and arctic is The Sahara. At over 9,400,000 square kilometres, it covers most of North Africa, making it almost as large as China or the United States. The Sahara extend to several countries in Africa, they are Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Eritrea, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Sudan, Tunisia, and Western Sahara. The Sahara is the hottest desert on earth, the average annual temperature for the desert is 86°F (30°C) but during the hottest months temperatures can exceed 122°F (50°C), with the highest temperature ever recorded at 136°F (58°C) in Aziziyah, Libya.
